It feels like March!
January 26, 2007
It is a beautiful day here. 30 degrees, clear blue sky. Ainsley and I walked the dogs and when there was no wind the sun felt very warm. It feels like a day in March when you believe spring is right around the corner, the birds were even out today.
Ainsley starts daycare is less than a week. She’s ready, I don’t know if I am. She was giving us a tough time this week by refusing to take a bottle. We finally got her to take one yesterday and she’s taken several since then. No wonder one of her nicknames is Little Monster. I spoke to a lactation specialist at her doctor’s office about it and she made a comment that we have some idea now what kind of child she will be – not what you want to hear!

Brodie’s First Post

My first blog post. Don’t expect poetry. Anyway, the little moster is sleeping so I’m playing around with the site. It seems like Ainsley grew by leaps and bounds this past week. She has really discovered her voice. She has had long conversations with the little lamb that hangs over her bouncy seat. She seems to enjoy her more than than the cow and pig. I wonder if she is frustrated that the lamb does not talk back. She is really holding on to things now too and will pull them into her mouth. We are going into daycare next Tuesday to have her meet everyone. I can’t believe I go back to work in 2 1/2 weeks. I know she will be well cared for but I have really been enjoying this time. Usually in the morning after she’s feed I sit with my cup of coffee and have her in my lap facing me and we discuss our upcoming day. Have a good day!
