“Bubbles?”
July 23, 2008
After a couple of days Ainsley got over her fear of the surf and constantly asked to go in the water or “bubbles” as she called it!
Morning walks in Bay Head

Ainsley on our daily morning walk in Bay Head. What a cool chick in those shades!
There were tears!
July 23, 2008
No, it wasn’t Marty. The first, and hopefully only, breakdown of the construction occured one week ago. We arrived home last Wednesday evening from a wonderful week of sun and relaxation in Bay Head, New Jersey. It was hard to leave my family and although our flight was on time, it was very bumpy going through storms which I HATE! So, we finally arrive home and the one room, the lower family room, that we were able to hang out in had all the furniture pushed to the side covered in plastic wrap. Marty was a good sport, grabbed a couple of chairs and tv trays, pulled the highchair over and sat us down for dinner. I just started to cry. Atleast I can blame it on the hormones! They made a lot of progress while we were gone and after the weekend we were back in a routine of how to live through it all. You may wonder how the dogs and Ainsley do during all this. Ainsley seems to go with the flow as long as she gets food and has toys. The boys come to work with me. Wednesdays are different because its my day off. Ainlsey and I run lots of errands. I’ve attached a picture of the boys – they really don’t look to concerned. The only hitch is nap time for Ainsley but she is currently at 1 hr 45 min sleeping so I think we’re doing okay! The windows go in tomorrow and they start sheetrocking next week!
Chilling dogs!

As you can see, the dogs are having a tough time with all the noise and commotion from the construction
It Calls for a Biff
July 7, 2008
A Biff, a Johnny-on-the-Spot, a Port-a-Potty; call it what you will, we have one front and center. I was told it is better than having the work crew using the one bathroom my family will also be using. I guess I can’t argue with that reasoning.
Well if you haven’t guessed by now we are doing a little remodeling or upgrading of our home. This includes the kitchen, master bath along with new walk-ins, a screen porch, and a great room addition off the back of the kitchen. We are very excited and look forward to the progress each day. I won’t share all the details, but if you want to know let us know. We have included some pictures of the of where we have been and where we are so far.

The house before chaos sets in. Is it too late to change our mind???
deck is gone!

They’ve taken down the deck and dug the trench for the footings. We are glad it has been dry or this would be a muddy mess!
framing in the addition
July 7, 2008
The framing has gone up so fast. Ainsley and Brodie are home on Wednesdays so we run lots of errands. Luckily, she still takes her nap during all the noise!
Biff in the driveway

Don’t you love the port-a-john at the end of the driveway! Very discrete. Oh well. Our neighbors are good sports
